The Utah Jazz have extended a two-year contract to Omer Yurtseven, according to information from the journalist of ESPNBobby Marks.
In this way, the Turk ends his two-season spell with the Miami Heat, a team with which he made his NBA debut in 2021 following being released by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The center, who will receive a $2.8 million starting salary in his first year with Utah, is coming off just nine games in the 2022-2023 regular round due to an ankle injury. In total he averaged 4.4 points and 2.6 rebounds. Then, in the playoffs, he participated in another eight games, but only spent 16 minutes on the court.
The 25-year-old player began his professional career in 2014 with Fenerbahçe of the Turkish league and in 2016 he decided to join American college basketball. In the NCAA he played two games with North Carolina State and another with Georgetown.
