SALT LAKE CITY – Seventeen Utah Football alumni are expected to suit up on active rosters in the NFL this weekend and 23 former Utes find themselves with teams in the league entering Week 6.

The number of Pro Utes on active rosters jumped by one this week as Washington’s Terrell Burgess was elevated from the Commanders’ practice squad. The fourth-year safety has appeared in 31 games during his career, spending 2020-22 with the Los Angeles Rams and finishing the ’22 campaign with the New York Giants.

Thursday Night Football, plus nine other games on Sunday, claim at least one former Ute on an active roster. Among the matchups, Britain Covey’s Philadelphia Eagles are now 5-0 and are the last remaining undefeated team in the NFL; Covey and the Eagles head up to MetLife Stadium for a meeting with the Jets on Sunday.
