**Interview with Víctor Quevedo, Director of the Arturo Uslar Pietri del Potrerito Early Education Center**
**Interviewer:** Thank you for joining us today, Víctor. Can you tell us more about the recent activities at the Arturo Uslar Pietri del Potrerito Early Education Center?
**Víctor Quevedo:** Thank you for having me. We recently celebrated a wonderful week of activities for our students, which included recreational, sports, and cultural events. We also held an election for our queens and concluded the week with a guided tour of the Trapiche de los Clavo Museum, led by our teacher, Rosibel Fernández. It was a fantastic way to engage our young learners and celebrate their progress in initial education.
**Interviewer:** That sounds like a very enriching experience for the children. Can you describe the importance of these activities for their development?
**Víctor Quevedo:** Absolutely! These activities are vital because they provide our students with opportunities to socialize, learn, and explore. They help foster creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking skills. Getting out of the classroom and experiencing the world around them is an essential part of early childhood education.
**Interviewer:** It’s great to see such dedication to the children’s growth. However, you mentioned some challenges regarding the school infrastructure. Can you elaborate on that?
**Víctor Quevedo:** Yes, while we are committed to continuing improvements, we face some challenges, especially regarding our infrastructure. We’re actively working on repairing our school facilities, particularly the bathrooms, and ensuring we have the necessary materials. Unfortunately, we’ve been waiting for support since March, and we’re calling on the mayor for assistance. Our enrollment continues to grow, and we want to provide the best possible environment for our students.
**Interviewer:** It’s concerning to hear about those issues. What support are you hoping to receive from local authorities?
**Víctor Quevedo:** We are seeking tangible support, such as donations for repairs and educational materials. Our goal is to create a safe and conducive learning environment for our students, and the help from local authorities and the community is crucial in achieving that.
**Interviewer:** Thank you for sharing these insights, Víctor. How can the community get involved to help the school?
**Víctor Quevedo:** The community can help by raising awareness of our needs, volunteering for events and activities, or even making donations toward our infrastructure projects. We believe that with collective effort, we can create a better future for our children.
**Interviewer:** Thank you, Víctor, for your time and for sharing the important work you’re doing at the Arturo Uslar Pietri del Potrerito Early Education Center. We hope that you receive the support you need soon.
**Víctor Quevedo:** Thank you! I appreciate the opportunity to speak about our center and the importance of early childhood education.
