Users can now enjoy seamless browsing experiences between Galaxy smartphones and the Galaxy Book series

As part of Samsung’s ongoing efforts to improve PC-Smartphone connectivity, Microsoft Phone Link’s new “Recent Websites” feature is now available for Galaxy smartphones and the Galaxy Book series

Connected devices increase productivity and convenience, but there’s always room to push the boundaries of connectivity even further. According to a recent survey1, 77% of people use multiple apps and devices together for a single task, but they also think it can take a lot of extra effort. With that in mind, Samsung Electronics is always looking for new ways to deliver a connected experience that harmonizes the strengths and capabilities of its smartphones, PCs, tablets, smartwatches and more, for a truly integrated multi-device ecosystem.

One of these new connectivity features is Recent Websites2 (Recent Sites) – An update to the app Microsoft Phone Link, now available on the Galaxy Book series – which allows users to continue browsing their smartphone sessions on their PCs effortlessly. A great way to quickly switch from using a smartphone to a Galaxy Book, this feature makes browsing experiences smoother and more mobile, ensuring users never miss a beat in their productivity.

Galaxy Book users can now access recent sessions from their smartphones with a single click, simplifying cross-device usage for responsive and convenient browsing. For example, let’s say a user wants to search for something on their smartphone and opens multiple tabs. At some point, it might be more efficient to open those same tabs on a bigger screen and start working with some PC applications. With the Recent Websites feature, this task is easier than ever, allowing users to open new tabs without having to go back to check search terms or browsing histories.

To use the Recent Websites feature, be sure to link your Galaxy smartphone to the Galaxy Book via Windows Link3 on your phone and the Microsoft Phone Link app on your PC. Then just open the Microsoft Phone Link app or submenu on your PC, which will bring up a list of websites you’ve recently opened on your smartphone. Clicking on one of these sites will immediately launch it on your Galaxy Book.

Recent Websites is one of several new and upcoming connectivity features that make the connected experience between Galaxy smartphones and the Galaxy Book series richer and more adaptable than ever before. By unlocking limitless possibilities across devices, Samsung is empowering customers to use and combine their devices in more innovative and accessible ways. Stay tuned for the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event to learn more regarding Samsung’s efforts to drive multi-device connectivity for the Galaxy Book series and beyond.
