(WDAY Radio) — Both North Dakota and Minnesota are being called out by the U.S. Department of Agriculture for declining performances in providing SNAP benefits.
Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack sent letters to the governors, urging the states to take immediate action. The USDA says it will take a proactive role in ensuring the states improve their snap operations including directly engaging with states through on-site visits and virtual trainings and requiring states that fall short of certain benchmarks to implement corrective action plans.
