Feb 11 (Archyde.com) – The morale of American households has deteriorated more than expected since the beginning of February, the first estimate of the monthly survey from the University of Michigan showed on Friday.
Its confidence index fell to 61.7, the lowest level since October 2011, following 67.2 in January while the Archyde.com consensus was expecting a figure of 67.5.
The component of consumers’ judgment of their current situation fell to 68.5, the weakest figure since August 2011, following 72.0 the previous month and a consensus of 73.0.
