The American television channel CNN reported that the United States offers to exchange Viktor Bout for two Americans in a Russian prison – Brittney Griner and Paul Whelan. In the coming days, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will hold talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
Joe Biden supported the idea of a prisoner exchange. According to CNN sources, the deal proposal was sent to Russia in June.
