PARIS, September 16 (Archyde.com) – The morale of American households has improved since the beginning of September but less than expected, the first results of the monthly survey from the University of Michigan showed on Friday.
Its confidence index, which fell in August to its lowest level in more than 40 years, recovered to 59.5 from 58.2 in August, as economists and analysts polled by Archyde.com on average forecast a figure of 60.0.
The consumer judgment component on their current situation rose to 58.9 from 58.6 the previous month and the outlook component rose to 59.9 from 58.0.
