A man sleeping on the beach Coney Islandin Brooklyn (on New York), was crushed to death by a city Parks and Recreation Department vehicle, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) told the local press.
The man, who has not yet been identified, was in his 40s and was lying on the playa at 2:50 local time (6:50 GMT) when the vehicle, a Ford F250 pickup truck, ran over him.
He was pronounced dead at the scene of the events.
“The driver of the Parks Department truck remained at the scene and no crime is suspected,” it says. The New York Post.

It is unknown if it is a homeless man of the thousands that populate the city of New York and that, in summer, taking advantage of the good weather, they often sleep outdoors. (EFE)
