USA: Lying politician George Santos is said to have appeared earlier as a drag queen politics

Republican US Congressman George Santos (34) is not usually a big supporter of the LGBTIQ movement, and has even supported anti-gay laws in the past. And this despite the fact that the congressman himself is gay!

Now there is the next revelation regarding the lying politician, who recently became well known because he lied a lot regarding his CV: The US MP is said to have taken part in Brazilian beauty contests as a drag queen 15 years ago.

This was explained to the Archyde.com news agency by two of Santos’ acquaintances on Wednesday.

The journalist Marisa Kabas shared a picture from 2008 that should show Santos (right in red) as a drag queen. His stage name: Kitara Ravache.

To the left of Santos in the photo is 58-year-old Brazilian drag queen Eula Rorard. She said she became friends with the now-congressman when he performed as a transvestite in the first “Gay Pride Parade” in Niterói, a Rio de Janeiro suburb, in 2005. Three years later, Santos entered a drag pageant in Rio, according to Rorard.

Another person from Niterói, who knew the 34-year-old congressman but asked not to be named, said that he participated in drag queen beauty pageants and aspired to be Miss Gay Rio de Janeiro.

But how does that fit in with the Republican congressman’s decidedly conservative views?

The congressman himself denied the reports, writing on Twitter Thursday that the claims “that I am a drag queen or ‘acting’ as a drag queen” are “categorically false,” adding, “I will not distract or sway by this.” to let.”

Santos is the first openly gay Republican to win a seat in Congress as a non-incumbent. Nevertheless, he has positioned himself as a staunch conservative on many social issues.

︎ For example, he supported Florida’s controversial “Don’t Say Gay” law, which bans discussions regarding sexual orientation and gender identity in the classroom.

Republicans are increasingly slamming drag shows and artists for allegedly being harmful to children.

The embattled freshman congressman has also been urged to resign by fellow New York Republicans for lying regarding his career and history.

For example, Santos claimed to have been a “savvy Wall Street investor.” His alleged employers denied this. The New York Times was also unable to verify his university degree from Baruch College in an investigative research.

Santos also lied regarding his family history and alleged Jewish background. During the election campaign he described himself as a “proud American Jew”. In early January, the politician admitted that he had misrepresented his faith.

George Santos had also repeatedly claimed that his mother, Fatima Devolder, worked in an office in the South Tower of the World Trade Center during the September 11, 2001 attacks. Now, official immigration documents obtained by The New York Times contradict that claim.
