USA: Girl bullied on the Internet for a year – it was her own mother News

It’s 349 pages of shame!

That’s how long the file is with harassing and insulting messages sent to a girl on the Internet. Unbelievable: The sick head of the bullying that lasted for more than a year was his own mother.

As reported by several US media, Kendra Licari (42) has since been arrested and is free on bail of $5,000. The woman from Mount Pleasant in the state of Michigan has fully acknowledged the allegations. The American was silent on the subject of the systematic harassment.

Computer convicts the bullying mother

What happened? In early 2021, the girl, who is only known to be underage, received the first hate messages online. She opened up to a confidant at Beal City School, where the bullying mother worked as a basketball coach.

The school notified the prosecutor, who began investigating. Finally, in the spring of 2022, IT specialists were able to unequivocally assign the hate messages to Kendra Licari. Namely via the so-called IP address. Put simply, this is a unique number combination that belongs to a very specific computer.

Bullying mother put on fake profiles

The investigation, in which even the FBI was involved, brought disturbing details to light: the 42-year-old had created fake profiles with the names and photos of her daughter’s friends on social networks in order to send emails to her child from these accounts to bomb. Experts call the practice of impersonating someone else on the internet “catfishing”.

Kendra Licari faces a court hearing beginning December 29. If it comes to trial, the 42-year-old faces several years in prison. The allegations include obstruction of justice, stalking a minor and using a computer to commit a crime.
