US Vice President Reiterates Response to Any Emergency After North Korean Missile Provocation

After Lee Han, on the way home, he posted on Twitter with a photo of his visit to the DMZ.

On the 29th (local time), US Vice President Kamala Harris, who is returning to the US following visiting South Korea, reiterated the solidity of the ROK-US alliance.

Vice President Harris tweeted on the same day, saying, “The Korea-U.S. alliance was built through common sacrifice.” “Although regarding 70 years have passed since the armistice was signed, and the threat of conflict still exists, as he said in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), the alliance is a state of emergency. We are ready to deal with it,” he said.

He also posted 4 photos of his visit to the DMZ with this article.

Although there is not much difference from the remarks made by Vice President Harris at the DMZ on the 29th Korean time, it can be seen that he emphasized once once more the strength of the ROK-US alliance.

In particular, it can be interpreted as a warning statement regarding North Korea’s test-firing of a ballistic missile into the East Sea once more as soon as he left South Korea as if aimed at the back of his head.

Previously, Vice President Harris attended the Director General of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and visited Korea to prevent President Yoon Seok-yeol and toured the DMZ, including the Joint Security Area (JSA).

At this meeting, he said that the common goal of the ROK and the US is the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, and that the ROK and the US are prepared for any contingency.

He also mentioned the promise of extended deterrence.
