US Undersecretary for Economic Affairs will visit Guatemala

According to the statement, Fernández will travel to Guatemala City on March 18 to “lead the American delegation in the first High Level Economic Dialogue between the United States and Guatemala”.

According to the information provided, other representatives of the United States Agency for International Developmentas well as the State Departmentsof Agriculture and Laborthe Trade and Development Agency, International Development Finance Corporation, Inter-American Foundation y Office of the Vice President.

On the agenda, it is indicated that the undersecretary will meet with Guatemalan officials, business, indigenous and civil society leadersto promote the inclusive economic prosperity, food safety y job creation for Guatemalans.

“We look forward to working with the President Arevalo and the Vice President Herrera to deepen the productive association of our countries and promote efforts sets to address the fundamental causes of irregular migration”, details the State Department.

According to US authorities, Undersecretary Fernández located in front of the addresses and offices of the State Department that constitute the core of the initiatives of the Biden-Harris Administration in matters of climate change, clean energy, health, security of the chain supply y other economic priorities.
