US Treasury yields hit their highest level in more than two years ahead of the Fed’s decision


(Archyde.com) – Yields soared to their highest in two and a half years ahead of an expected announcement by the Federal Reserve on Wednesday for the first rate hike in more than three years.

The two-year Treasury yield rose to 1.894 percent, the highest level since August 2019.

Yields on benchmark 10-year bonds jumped to 2.169 percent, the highest since June 2019.

The spread between the two-year and 10-year bond yields widened by three basis points to 30 basis points.
