US survey: iPhone users prone to road rage, Android users more often run red lights

Are you prone to “Road Rage” when driving? American Trucks conducted a survey of thousands of car owners, and found that car owners who use Apple iPhones are more likely to suffer from road rage than users who use Android phones, and the possibility of accidents is 20% higher; while those who use Android phones Car owners are more likely than people using iPhones to run red lights and not wear seat belts.

The “American Trucks” survey interviewed drivers who use iPhones and Android phones to investigate which of the two mobile phone users is safer when driving, so as to analyze whether mobile phone brands affect driving habits. The results show that car owners who use iPhones are more likely to send messages while driving, are more likely to get into accidents, and experience “road rage”.

In contrast, car owners using Android phones were more likely to drive speeding, run red lights and not wear seat belts more often. The site found that drivers using iPhones were 20 percent more likely to be involved in an accident than drivers using Android phones. On the other hand, on average, iPhone users are also more likely to receive five or more tickets than Android users.

Of those surveyed, 54 percent of iPhone users said they had experienced road rage, compared with 51 percent of Android phone users, a small gap. The survey shows that car owners who use iPhones are more likely to be impatient and passively resist, while car owners who use Android phones are more likely to be violent or verbally aggressive.
