Among the leading stocks today was Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:), which rose 1.11%, or 1.68 points, to reach 152.50 at the close. On the other hand, Walt Disney Company (NYSE:) shares continued to rise by 1.04%, or 0.99 points, and closed at 96.06, while Walmart Stores (NYSE:) shares increased by 0.90%, or 1.39 points, to 156.06 at the end of the session.
As for the weakest performance at the end of today’s trading, Apple (NASDAQ:) shares closed down 0.70%, or 1.34 points, and traded at 189.97 levels at the close. Nike Inc. (NYSE:) shares declined by 0.26%, or 0.28 points, at a price of 107.64, while Microsoft Group (NASDAQ:) shares closed down by 0.11%, or 0.42 points, at 377.43.
On the other hand, the best performance in the Standard & Poor’s 500 index was recorded by CF Industries Holdings (NYSE:), which rose by 2.55% at a price of 78.36. Best Buy Co. (NYSE:) also continued its rise at 2.18% and closed at Levels of 69.51, and WestRock Co (NYSE:) shares rose regarding 2.14% and ended its trading at 37.70.
Among the weakest performing stocks today, we mention First Solar Company (NASDAQ:), which fell by 3.34% and closed its session at 154.38, Invidia Group (NASDAQ:), which lost 1.93% at 477.76, and Bunge (NYSE: ), which weakened by 1.42% and closed at 107.99 today’s session on the stock exchange.
On the other hand, the best performance in the Nasdaq index was recorded by BioNexus Gene Lab Corp (NASDAQ:), which rose by 143.90% at a price of 0.90. FLJ Group Ltd (NASDAQ:) also continued its rise at 45.24% and closed at levels 0.16, and Captivision Inc (NASDAQ:) stock rose by 44.44% and ended its trading at 2.34.
Among the weakest performing stocks today, we mention Seelos Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:), which fell by 22.95% and closed its session at 0.13, LQR House Inc (NASDAQ:), which lost 22.14% at 0.03, and Tarena Intl. Adr (NASDAQ:), which weakened by 21.43% and closed at 1.32 in today’s session on the stock exchange.
The number of stocks that gained the most exceeded the number of stocks that closed lower in trading on the New York Stock Exchange, with 2087 compared to 716, while 100 remained unchanged. As for the Nasdaq Stock Exchange, 2453 of the stocks strengthened their position and 957 declined, while 117 of the stocks maintained their value.
