On the other hand, the best performance in the Standard & Poor’s 500 index was recorded by Target Corp (NYSE:), which rose by 17.75% at 130.46. VF Corp (NYSE:) also continued to rise at 14.13% and closed at 17.77. Likewise, Catalent Inc (NYSE:) stock rose by 11.34% and ended its trading at 39.56.
Among the weakest performing stocks today, we mention Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ:), which fell by 5.57% and closed its session at 349.34, Lilly, Eli & Co. (NYSE:), which lost 3.65% to 588.54, and Constellation. Energy Corp (NASDAQ:), which weakened by 3.58% and closed at 121.99 in today’s session on the stock exchange.
On the other hand, the best performance in the Nasdaq index was recorded by Mira Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ:), which rose by 72.51% at a price of 2.95. CISO Global Inc (NASDAQ:) also continued its rise at 67.36% and closed at 0.16 levels. Likewise, Heron Therapeuti (NASDAQ:) stock rose by 59.26% and ended its trading at a price of 0.86.
Among the weakest performing stocks today, we mention Jaguar Global Growth Corporation I (NASDAQ:), which fell by 76.02% and closed its session at a price of 1.70, Chanson International Holding (NASDAQ:), which lost 34.98% at a price of 1.45, and Hanryu Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:), which fell by 28.74% to close at 0.67 in today’s session on the stock exchange.
The number of shares that gained more exceeded the number of shares that closed on a lower trading basis on the New York Stock Exchange, with 1,609 compared to 1,293, while 74 remained unchanged.
