On the other hand, the best performance in the Standard & Poor’s 500 index was recorded by Arista Networks (NYSE:), which rose by 14.11% at a price of 200.51. Monolithic Power (NASDAQ:) also continued its rise at 9.34% and closed at levels 441.74, and SAIC Inc. (NYSE:) stock rose regarding 8.01% and ended its trading at 99.14.
Among the weakest performing stocks today, we mention VF Corp (NYSE:), which fell by 14.02% and closed its session at 14.72, Catalent Inc (NYSE:), which lost 13.82% at 34.41, and FMC Corp. (NYSE:), which weakened by 8.21% and closed at 53.20 today’s session on the stock exchange.
On the other hand, the best performance in the Nasdaq index was recorded by Scisparc Ltd (NASDAQ:), which rose by 64.81% at a price of 5.62, GSE Systems (NASDAQ:) also continued its rise at 50.63% and closed at 2.38 levels, as well as Troika Media Group (NASDAQ:) shares rose regarding 48.57% and ended its trading at 1.04.
Among the weakest performing stocks today, we mention Kintara Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:), which fell by 80.50% and closed its session at 0.75, Sientra Inc (NASDAQ:), which lost 56.16% at 0.64, and Galera Therapeutics. (NASDAQ:), which weakened by 54.02% and closed at 0.10 in today’s stock exchange session.
The number of stocks that gained the most exceeded the number of stocks that closed with a decline in trading on the New York Stock Exchange, with 2047 compared to 886, while 77 remained unchanged.
