US Secretary of Justice: Appointment of a private investigator into classified Biden documents

January 12, 2023

Baghdad / Obelisk: The US Secretary of Justice, Merrick Garland, announced, on Thursday 12/01/2023, the appointment of a private investigator in the case of finding secret documents in the Biden house.

Garland told a news conference in Washington, D.C., that he had confidence in Detective Robert Hoare because he would do it professionally and quickly.

He added that President Biden was informed in late December that new classified documents were found in his garage in Delaware.

According to the US minister, Biden revealed that these documents date back to his tenure when he was Vice President Barack Obama.

He added that the FBI agents went to the place and secured the documents.

The US Secretary of Justice said that the results of the preliminary investigation, which he had seen earlier in January, show the importance of appointing a special prosecutor in the case.

And he continued: I have concluded, according to the laws, that it is in the public interest to appoint a special prosecutor (in the case of confidential documents).

He added: We will investigate the possibility if the secret documents found at Biden’s headquarters violate the law.

And CNN considered that the appointment of a special investigator in the case was a defining moment for Biden, who over the past two years managed to stay away from legal problems.

With a special investigator on the case, and the new aggressive orientation of the Republican-controlled House of Representatives, Biden will be on the defensive for the remaining two years of his term.
