During her career, the Russian-born athlete was repeatedly set back by long-term injuries. Now she is struggling with her health again.
In an Instagram story after the match, she revealed that she could no longer walk. “The pain was a seven out of ten at the beginning. When you lose, you feel it even more than when you win,” she explained.

The 30-year-old had thought long and hard about whether she wanted to compete. “Mentally, it was hard because it felt like I didn’t deserve it because I hadn’t put in the work.” She had to cancel almost all of her preparation for the tournament due to her physical problems.

But her fans are now also very worried about the professional player’s mental health.
“It’s just a cycle. I’ve had it before when I played injured – it’s a terrible cycle,” Saville hinted at further problems.
