US Nuclear Submarine Exercise Not Related to Russia-Ukraine War: National Navy | BLU mornings

Admiral Gabriel Pérez, Commander of the National Navy spoke in Mañanas BLU about the naval exercises between Colombia and the United States In the Caribbean. According to the commander of the Navy, the exercises mark the opportunity to integrate Colombia into the standards of the OTAN in solving exercises and allows sharing experiences.

“Virginia-class submarines have nuclear propulsion, the energy source through which they are mobilized is through nuclear fusion. This allows them to remain indefinitely anywhere in the world. It is a ship of significant dimensions, something more that 110 meters in total length, exceeds 7,000 tons of displacement. Its crew exceeds 300 men”, described the officer.
