Overseas Network, August 18th US cable televisionnewsNet reported on August 17, inFederal Bureau of InvestigationsAfter (FBI) agents raided Trump’s private residence, Mar-a-Lago, Trump is considering releasing surveillance video of the raid at Mar-a-Lago.

CNN, citing sources, said some of Trump’s allies are pressing him to release surveillance footage that has been kept secret. Earlier this week, Trump’s son Eric Trump also said in an interview that the video would be released “at the right time.” However, some around Trump have warned that releasing the footage could backfire and give people a visual glimpse of the vast amount of material, including classified material, seized by the FBI.

Trump and his lawyers previously said they were still videotaping the search after the FBI asked them to turn off the surveillance cameras. It was unclear whether Trump consulted his legal team about the potential impact of releasing the surveillance footage.

On August 8, local time, Trump said that his Mar-a-Lago estate was raided by the FBI. The FBI is investigating Trump for allegedly violating the Espionage Act and three other federal charges, according to a search warrant and a list of search items released by the U.S. federal court on the afternoon of the 12th. The search warrant shows that investigators are authorized to seize any document marked with a classified label, information involving the extraction, storage or transmission of defense intelligence material or classified documents, any official records during the Trump presidency, and the willful alteration, destruction or concealment of official records or evidence of confidential documents.
