Damascus – US special forces killed a high-ranking member of the Islamic State (IS) extremist group in Syria on Monday, according to American sources. The US Department of Defense said the man was planning attacks in the Middle East and Europe. Abd-al-Hadi Mahmoud al-Hachi Ali planned the kidnapping of government officials abroad. Two other armed people were killed in the helicopter attack.
