US Justice accuses ‘Tony Montana’ of drug trafficking crimes

The United States Department of Justice accused Antonio Oseguera Cervantesalias ‘Tony Montana‘, for crimes related to drug trafficking.

Court documents indicate that the brother of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantesthe mencho‘, is part of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG), conspired between 1998 and 2022 to transport cocaine and methamphetamine to the United States, in addition to being in possession of a firearm.

‘Tony Montana’ remains in it maximum security prison of Altiplanoin it Mexico statelinked to proceedings for crimes against health, possession, collection of firearms and cartridges for the exclusive use of the Armed forces.

Antonio Oseguera is identified as a financial operator of the cartel that his brother heads, and is accused of working directly under the orders of El Mencho.

In December 2015, he had already been arrested in Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, Jalisco, when he posed as Joel Mora Garibay to avoid his arrest. In 2001 he served a sentence in Mississippi, United States, for damage to another’s property.

Records of the Federal Bureau of Prisons of the United States indicate that Antonio Oseguera was confined in a North American prison until July 18, 2008.
