**Interview with President Prabowo Subianto on US-Indonesian Economic Relations**
**Editor:** Good afternoon, President Prabowo. Thank you for joining us today.
**President Prabowo:** Thank you for having me. It’s a pleasure to be here.
**Editor:** You’ve just returned from Washington, where you met with leaders from major US companies. What was the key takeaway from these discussions?
**President Prabowo:** The key takeaway is the strong confidence US investors have in Indonesia’s economic potential. During my meetings with leaders from prominent companies like Boeing, ExxonMobil, and BP, it became clear that they see Indonesia as a viable and promising market for investment.
**Editor:** Can you elaborate on the nature of these investments? What sectors are particularly attracting US companies?
**President Prabowo:** We’re seeing interest across various sectors, including energy, healthcare, and infrastructure. The meeting was a great opportunity to discuss how these companies can participate in our development plans, particularly toward sustainable growth and technological advancements.
**Editor:** You mentioned encouraging US firms to invest in Indonesia’s development. What specific incentives or support does the Indonesian government offer to foreign investors?
**President Prabowo:** Indonesia is committed to providing a conducive investment climate. We are working on regulatory reforms to streamline the investment process and ensure transparency. Additionally, we’re offering fiscal incentives and guarantees to protect investments, which I believe will enhance investor confidence.
**Editor:** During the meeting, how did the US business leaders respond to your invitation for deeper investment in Indonesia?
**President Prabowo:** They were very receptive. Many of them have been operating in Indonesia for years, and they expressed a strong desire to expand their operations. Their ongoing belief in Indonesia’s economic viability reassures us of our direction and strategies.
**Editor:** Looking forward, what are your expectations for US-Indonesian economic relations as a result of this meeting?
**President Prabowo:** I expect our economic relations to strengthen significantly. This partnership can drive not only economic growth but also create job opportunities and advance technology transfer, benefiting both our nations.
**Editor:** Thank you, President Prabowo, for sharing your insights. We look forward to seeing how these developments unfold.
**President Prabowo:** Thank you for having me. Let’s hope for continued success in our economic partnership!
