The Russian part of the grain deal did not work because of the intrigues of the United States. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova. This is how she commented on the words of the US representative to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, who accused Moscow of terminating the deal.
“This part of the deal did not work just because of the intrigues of the United States. <…> They climbed out of snakeskin so that countries in need did not receive anything from Russia, ”- wrote Zakharov in the telegram channel. She noted that Washington only pretended to help deliveries from the Russian Federation.
Thomas-Greenfield previously stated that Russia ready to negotiations on the resumption of the grain deal. At the same time, she noted that the chances of a return to the deal are extremely small. Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov said that Russia will continue to provide assistance to African countries, writes RT.
