US: George Soros Revealed – Buys 200 Radio Stations Ahead of Elections

During a House Oversight Committee hearing last week, Carr objected to a deal that would have allowed a Soros-backed group to take ownership of 200 stations in 40 markets. He claimed the FCC deviated from its normal process by allowing the purchase to take place.

“I think what’s interesting about this is that the FCC is not following its normal process for reviewing transactions that it has established over many years,” Carr warned. “It seems to me that the FCC is ready, for the first time, to create a whole new shortcut.”

The transaction, reported by The National Desk in February, would violate a rule preventing more than 25 percent foreign ownership of U.S. radio stations, Carr claims. Still, Carr claimed the agency was speeding up its review process.

Soros’ team told the Post that it will return to the FCC in the near future to carry out that process. If the deal goes through, Soros would be considered a “major shareholder,” but not necessarily the “owner” of the stations.

An FCC spokesperson told Fox News Digital that “no decision is final until the Commission makes it public, which we have not.”

“The Commission has a long-standing process for reviewing transactions involving an exit from bankruptcy,” the spokesman added, noting that the application before the Commission involves a transfer from Audacy in bankruptcy to Audacy after bankruptcy.

Soros handed control of his political empire last year to his son, Alex, and his various organizations have continued to wield significant financial influence, including millions of dollars aimed at swinging Texas to Democrats.
