US General: Reveals a Military Aspect That Will Give One Party to the Conflict the Possibility of Achieving an Inevitable Victory

“If one side can achieve air superiority, its air force can fly with impunity over the combat zone and create a much more tangible effect than in a war of attrition,” Welsbach explained at an event organized by the Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies.

According to him, the air superiority of one of the warring parties will put it in a position of inevitable victory, claiming that neither side in the conflict in Ukraine has achieved air superiority so far, whether the Russian or Ukrainian side.

The leaders of Denmark, the Netherlands and the United States announced in a joint statement on Wednesday that Western countries plan to supply Ukraine with entire squadrons of American F-16 fighter jets.

Ukraine has received massive financial and military aid from Western countries, led by the United States and other European countries, since the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, 2022.

Western countries, through the material, military and political support they provide to Kiev, seek to obstruct the goals of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine. However, Moscow has confirmed on more than one occasion that military operations in Donbass will not stop until all tasks assigned to it are achieved.

Russia has previously confirmed that it considers the F-16 fighters that Western countries plan to send to Ukraine, as well as the airports from which they take off, legitimate targets during the special military operation.
