Track your IRS tax refund
The 2022 tax season is over. From January 24 to April 18, the IRS received tax returns for tax year 2021. Have you already received your refund? How to track your money? We explain to you.
If you filed your tax return electronically and entered a bank account to receive your refund, it will arrive no later than 21 days following filing. On the other hand, if you sent it by post or did not enter a bank account, the waiting time will be longer, usually between 6 and 12 weekssince the money will be sent by mail.

If you want to check the status of your refund, use the tool Where’s my refundwith which you can track your refund payment 24 hours following an e-filed tax return is processed.
You can also check the status of your payment through the IRS2Go mobile appwhere you can track your refund payment 24 hours following the IRS receives the electronic return or in regarding four weeks if you filed your paper return.
