The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), responsible for protecting public health, have decided to classify, this week, Morocco as a level 2 (and therefore moderate) risk country for Covid-19. On their site, the CDC reminds that travelers going to a level 2 risk country must make sure “to be up to date” with their anti-Covid 19 vaccines before traveling to this destination.

“If you have a weakened immune system or are more likely to become seriously ill from Covid-19, even if you are up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines, talk to your doctor regarding additional precautions that may be necessary before, during and following a trip to this destination”, continues the same source.

Morocco had joined level 3, that of the highest risks facing Covid-19, established by the CDC at the end of June, following the 4th wave of infection in the kingdom. A classification that applies in countries where 100 cases are recorded per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 28 days.
