The US Central Command said that it succeeded in confronting and destroying more than 80 drones and 6 missiles once morest Israel from Iran and Yemen.

It explained that its forces, supported by US European Command destroyers, destroyed more than 80 unidirectional attack drones and at least 6 ballistic missiles that were directed to attack Israel from Iran and Yemen on April 13 and 14.

She added – in a post on the X website – that this includes a ballistic missile on its launch pad and 7 drones that were destroyed on the ground before being launched in areas under the control of the Iran-aligned Houthis in Yemen.

The US Central Command continued, “Iran’s behavior is reckless and endangers regional stability and the safety of our and coalition forces.” She stressed, “We will continue to work with all our regional partners to enhance regional security.”

This comes at a time when American officials confirmed that President Joe Biden informed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the United States will not participate in any counterattack on Iran if Israel decides to respond to a major attack on it with drones and missiles.

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority revealed that Israel canceled an imminent attack on Iran at the last minute, in response to the Iranian attack.

Division in the war council

The commission indicated that the majority of members of the Israeli War Cabinet supported launching the attack that was regarding to be carried out, which was also supported by Ministers Benny Gantz and Gadi Eisenkot, before canceling it at the last minute, amid division over its timing and scope.

It was reported that some sources familiar with the details said that the cancellation came following the conversation that took place between Biden and Netanyahu, while other sources – according to the Israeli authority – stated that the reason for the cancellation was that the damage resulting from the Iranian attack was not significant.

Iran launched more than 300 drones and missiles at Israel on Saturday night, in the first attack launched by Iran directly from its territory on Israel, and not through groups loyal to it. It came in response to a missile attack that targeted the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus at the beginning of this April.

Tehran accuses Tel Aviv of launching this missile attack, which resulted in the killing of 7 members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, including prominent General Mohammad Reza Zahedi.

Tel Aviv did not officially acknowledge or deny its responsibility for the Damascus attack, and both Iran and Israel consider the other country their first enemy, and between them there are decades of hostility and accusations of launching mutual attacks.
