US White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan speaks to the media regarding the situation in Ukraine during a daily briefing at the White House in Washington, USA, on 11 March. February 2022.

The call from both countries comes on the same day that White House Security Adviser Jake Sullivan assured that Russia might launch an attack on Ukraine “at any time.” Sullivan also reported that the onslaught would probably start with bombardments and missiles.

The White House has asked US citizens to leave Ukraine in the next 24 to 48 hours, and Britain has advised its citizens to leave the country “now” while there are commercial means to do so. Other countries, such as Latvia or Norway, also made these calls.

The messages from these countries come on the same day that the White House security adviser said that Russia might invade Ukraine “at any moment” and that this might happen before the Beijing Olympics, scheduled until February 20. .

Both Sullivan and the British government have indicated – separately – that the accumulation of more Russian troops on the border with Ukraine increases the chances of an invasion and the American adviser indicated that Moscow has already mustered enough troops to launch an invasion, he also said that he might launch a swift onslaught on Kiev.

Hours earlier, US President Joe Biden told national television that things in Ukraine “might get crazy real quick.” The president made these remarks before starting a meeting with the leaders of the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany, Poland and Romania, as well as with the heads of NATO and the European Union.

Archyde.com said this Friday that four US representatives informed – on condition of anonymity – to the agency that the US plans to send 3,000 more troops to Poland, which will be added to the 8,500 that have already been deployed on the ground, on alert for a possible war escalation in Eastern Europe.
