US and South Korea launch missiles in response to North Korea

A total of eight ground-to-ground missiles were launched on Monday by the US and South Korea, the Yonhap agency reported, citing the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The shells flew east, toward the Sea of ​​Japan. Six of them were launched by South Korean troops and two by US troops.

According to the South Korean military, the maneuver demonstrated Seoul’s “capability and readiness” to “precisely and immediately strike” launch points and other North Korean targets in the event of an attack.

The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff noted that it “strongly condemns North Korea’s successive ballistic missile provocations and strongly urges the immediate cessation of actions that increase military tensions and aggravate security instability on the peninsula.”
