United States“What’s going on? Why are you bringing me food?”

A 6-year-old who was playing with his dad’s phone ordered nearly $1,000 worth of food. His father first thought it was a bad joke.

Keith and Kristin Stonehouse were spending a quiet evening at their home in Chesterfield, Michigan when someone rang their doorbell on Saturday. Taken aback, the couple discovered in front of their door a bag of food from a take-out store. A few minutes later, the Americans received pizzas they had never ordered. Then shortly following, a delivery from a kebab restaurant, and so on.

“It kept, piles of bags of food… The delivery people would drop them behind the door so we mightn’t communicate with them,” Keith explains to WDIV. First believing in a bad joke, the father ended up calling out one of the employees who had come to place an order. “What is happening? Why are you bringing me food?” asked the American. “You placed an order for kebabs,” the delivery man simply replied.

Fries, ice cream, chicken…

That’s when Keith realized: he had let his 6-year-old son play with his phone before going to bed. And since the father had not closed the application he uses to order food, the little boy had fun. Between ice creams, fries, pizzas, chicken and other meals, the couple had for nearly 1000 dollars of addition. Luckily, Keith’s bank blocked almost half of the payments, but the joke is still painful for the wallet.

Keith Stonehouse sweated profusely when he realized what had happened.
