The Guatemalan national team is in the final stretch before beginning its official activity in the last half of 2024. The team led by Mexican coach Luis Fernando Tena has up to five matches scheduled before the end of the year, four of an official nature and one more friendly.

It is precisely for the friendly match that the squad for Guatemala’s rival, the Uruguayan national team, has already been announced.

The Uruguayan Association was responsible for sharing on its social networks a list of 22 men to face Guatemala at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States.

This also confirms that Uruguay will not use its big names, but will opt to give recognition to footballers seeking international success.

Likewise, Marcelo Bielsa will not be the coach in charge of the Uruguay National Team, but Diego Pérez will take the reins of the Celeste for that matchThe reason for not using their “Selection A” is that, as this is not a FIFA match, the Celeste will use another team.
