According to Super Broadband Network Co., Ltd. (SBN), the provider of AIS PLAYBOX, has filed a request to the Intellectual Property Court. Revoke the ban on broadcasting World Cup 2022 via IPTV networks, citing the NBTC’s Must Carry rule.
Most recently today (Dec. 2, 2022), there was a report from the Property Court. In this case, it revoked SBN’s request and reaffirmed its original order prohibiting SBN, the provider of AIS PLAYBOX, from broadcasting the FIFA World Cup Final 2022 held in Qatar on its network. iPTV to avoid potential impacts from infringement of intellectual property rights. Thai people can still watch every World Cup final match via digital TV as usual.
