The Public Prosecution has ordered the release of a Somali girl pending investigation into the killing of a tuk-tuk driver with a knife following he tried to have sexual intercourse with her. Police investigations confirmed the validity of her account in the investigations.

It also commissioned a forensic physician to perform an autopsy on the driver’s body to show his injuries, the reason and how they occurred, the tools used to create them, and to prepare a report on the result.

By interrogating the Somali girl, she admitted killing the driver if he resisted while he was trying to have intercourse with her once morest her. She explained that she had taken the motorized vehicle accompanied by the driver to deliver her, and that he had taken an uninhabited road during that, and he stopped claiming a malfunction in his vehicle, then pointed at her a knife that he was hiding under a seat The leadership, threatened to meet her, so she ran away from him, so he followed her, and he managed to her following she fell to the ground. The police took what happened, and the Public Prosecution took the girl to the scene of the incident following interrogating her, and conducted a photographic examination of the crime, as she admitted in detail in the investigations.

Attached to the papers was a report on the medical examination of the girl, which confirmed that she had a cut to her head, and several cuts to her fingers.

This, and the police investigations confirmed the validity of the incident as stated by the girl’s admission in the investigations, and the report of the Forensic Medicine Authority on conducting the anatomical characterization on the body of the driver, which confirmed that his death had occurred as a result of the injury referred to by the girl, and that the incident was permissible according to the novel made in investigations using the like of a seized knife.

Accordingly, the Public Prosecution issued a decision to release the girl under the guarantee of her place of residence, and investigations are being completed.
