Nasa unveiled a breathtaking image of the planet Uranus, taken by the James Webb telescope, this Thursday, April 6.
An impressive photograph. I’US Aerospace Agency (Nasa) unveiled a snapshot of the planet Uranus, this Thursday, April 6.
This image was taken by the James Webb telescope, the most powerful in the world which has already been able to immortalize several planets, exoplanets or galaxies, since it was put into orbit in December 2021.
“The new image features dramatic rings as well as glowing features in the planet’s atmosphere,” commented theEuropean Space Agency (ESA).
If Uranus had already been immortalized in the past, this snapshot remains the most precise established to date. The eleven out of thirteen rings visible in the image of this ice planet seem to sparkle.
NASA notes that this shot demonstrates the planet’s atmospheric characteristics consisting of water, methane and ammonia.
