Researchers from the University of Queensland (UQ) have been awarded a meaningful $29 million in funding from the National Health and medical Research Council (NHMRC) to tackle pressing health challenges.
A total of 28 grants were awarded, comprised of 3 Development Grants, 24 Ideas Grants, and 1 Postgraduate Scholarship. This funding will support innovative research projects across various health areas, with a focus on improving patient outcomes.
Professor Amin Abbosh is among the recipients, securing two grants to advance research into technologies for preventing and managing liver disease, and to develop a new standard for blood tests that are efficient, painless, and readily accessible.
