UPR establishes its basic structures for greater visibility in Port-Gentil –

The Union for the Republic (UPR) has new political leaders in Port-Gentil. Gervais Oniane, the founding president of this political party, who is staying in the economic capital, has installed twenty-five new vice-presidents, responsible for leading the political, social, economic and structural life of the UPR. During this event, he called on everyone to be more dynamic on the ground, and more patriotic for a united and strong UPR before recommending everyone to vote yes in the next referendum.

“I would like all UPR activists and supporters, like all Gabonese, to mobilize for the victory of the yes vote in the referendum”invite Gervais Oniane.

There are a total of thirteen vice-presidents installed in the 1st district, five in the 2nd, one vice-president in the 3rd district and two in the 4th district. Through these installations, the UPR strengthens this political party which is neither in the majority nor in the opposition but which belongs, it is indicated, to the Gabonese concerned with the development of their country in all sectors.

“The UPR supports the policy of the head of the transition in relation to the actions he takes on the ground. I have just been installed and I have implemented the local action plan, which aims to be close to the populations on the ground.”says Bruno Ombango, vice-president in Ogooué-Maritime in charge of mobilization and awareness raising.

While women represent a large part of the activists, however, young Port-Gentillais and Port-Gentillaises have decided to join this party in order to be better considered at the highest level of the State in order to bring their development ambitions in entrepreneurship and other sectors. Satisfied with the resolutions of the last inclusive national dialogue, they say they are ready to defend the colors of “Gabon-D’abord”, and to draw new ambitions.

“The young republicans of Ogooué-Maritime welcome the conclusions of the inclusive national dialogue, and affirm that we will not let ourselves be distracted by those who have brought the country to its knees. We, the youth of the UPR, have decided to look at the light, so that the light may also look at us,” said Jean Martini Rock, representative of the UPR youth in the commune of Port-Gentil.
