A 29-year-old Upper Austrian has to answer for double murder in the Graz regional criminal court on Friday. The man is said to have first killed his partner in Graz in April of the previous year and then – according to the prosecution – to have driven into the car of a bystander with suicidal intent. He died in the accident. The person who caused the accident barely survived and was in a coma for a long time. So far, the accused has partially confessed.
The Upper Austrian met the woman as a dominatrix in a whorehouse at the beginning of 2023 and then built a private relationship with her. The two lived together and had a relationship in keeping with his inclinations, in which she was the dominant part. But the 29-year-old apparently became increasingly jealous of other men his girlfriend was talking to on the phone or chatting with. He also suffered from mental disorders and panic attacks. When an argument broke out because, in his opinion, she wasn’t responding enough to his needs, the situation escalated. He is said to have stabbed her multiple times with a knife. He then got into his car and, following driving for a short time, crashed into an oncoming car at high speed. The trial is scheduled for one day. A jury verdict is expected this evening.
