At first glance, the Uperfect UStation Delta is a great addition to the digital workplace. Equipped with two 15.6-inch screens, it is perfectly suited for multitasking. Whether reading long texts, working with large spreadsheets, or browsing the Internet, the ability to not have to constantly rearrange windows on the screen is a tremendous bonus, and once ‘we got used to it, we can’t live without it.
The Uperfect UStation Delta impresses with its excellent build quality and the use of high-quality materials. Connectivity is also well designed, allowing two independent devices to run on the dual screen, if desired. Its versatility covers a wide range of applications, since it can be connected to laptops, smartphones, tablets and even game consoles. However, it has significant limitations in terms of color accuracy, which makes it makes it unsuitable for professional photo and video editing. Even in a semi-professional setting, the Uperfect UStation Delta is barely usable.
The Uperfect UStation Delta is a promising addition to the mobile workspace. Improved color accuracy and the presence of a touchscreen would enhance the appeal of the device.
Another point worth highlighting is the somewhat limited screen brightness. We had also hoped for better DeltaE-2000 values. In its current state, the Uperfect UStation Delta just isn’t compelling enough. $630 is too much to ask for a digital workspace extension. It’s possible that Uperfect will make some improvements, given that the unit tested here is a prototype. Therefore, it is still possible to make changes before the release of the final product.
The 1080p resolution isn’t bad. However, it should be noted that a dual monitor similar to the Uperfect UStation Delta has been released through an Indiegogo campaign – this is the Lepow DualViews. The Lepow model has more to offer, with its two QHD screens and touch functionality.
