“Updating the Lyrical Heritage” sparks a dispute between Ali Al-Hajjar and Medhat Saleh

Dagher confirmed in his statement that the project of the artist Medhat Saleh, which bears the name “The Professors and Medhat Saleh”, is an artistic event that differs in detail, in detail, in form and in content from the project of the artist Ali Al-Hajjar “100 Years of Singing”, where the artist Medhat Saleh will present a group of selected songs for the most famous compositions and music. A concert by Medhat Saleh is scheduled to be held on the seventh of next July, as part of his new project “The Professors”, where he will sing songs composed by Muhammad Fawzi, Muhammad Abdel Wahhab, Farid al-Atrash and Baligh Hamdi, with new distributions, which Saleh confirmed will satisfy and impress the audience.

Saleh pointed out that the project is not satisfied with the Egyptian works, as the melodies of the great Arab composers will be reformulated, including Al-Rahbaniya from Lebanon, Talal Maddah, Siraj Omar from Saudi Arabia, and Abdel Hamid Al-Sayed from Kuwait, along with Egyptian composers such as Muhammad Abdel-Wahhab, Farid Al-Atrash, Kamal Al-Taweel, Muhammad Al-Muji, Riyad Al-Sunbati, Muhammad Fawzi, Baligh Hamdi, and others through a number of distributors, including Ahmed Mustafa, Ahmed Al-Muji, Osama Kamal, through a harmonious formation of different musical instruments.
The Egyptian composer, Mounir Al-Wasimi, believes that the richness of the musical heritage is available to everyone, provided that the ownership of these works is withdrawn from their original owners, including writers, composers, and singers.

Al-Wasimi added to Asharq Al-Awsat that the project belongs to Al-Hajjar, and it was directed to him before.
Al-Wasimi indicated that the issue is thorny, despite the eligibility of each of them in the project, but the crisis must be contained with impartiality and the participation of Al-Hajjar and Saleh in the singing project, according to what each of them desires.
Al-Wasimi aspires to amend the initiative, and to attribute it to both of them, away from the saying of the first and the second, and from the owner of the original project, as well as the participation of other artists such as the artist Muhammad Tharwat, the artist Muhammad al-Helou, and lovers of authentic tarabic singing.
