Volos – Water levels fell further on Tuesday in flood-affected areas of central Greece. For example, the level of the Pinios River was now around eight meters and no longer at its peak of ten meters, as the newspaper “Kathimerini” reported. What was intended to bring relief to the region was, however, also a cause for great concern: There are fears that more flood victims will be found as the water drains away.
