The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation published on its website a new version of temporary guidelines used by doctors to diagnose coronavirus in patients and prescribe treatment. Updated information has been sent to all medical institutions in the country.
According to information on the department’s website, Covid in Russia is now “acquiring the features of a seasonal infection” with a shorter incubation period—an average of 3-4 days. Previously it was up to 14 days. The Ministry of Health noted that the symptoms of coronavirus have become more and more reminiscent of a common acute respiratory viral infection.
In this regard, the Ministry of Health has updated the list of regulatory documents regulating measures to prevent the importation and reduce the risk of spreading the disease in the Russian Federation. Data on Covid strains identified in the country has also been updated.
In addition, experts clarified information on medications and assistance to patients with cancer, chronic kidney disease and mental disorders.
One of the innovations was the Gam-COVID-Vac-D vaccine included in the list of recommendations, intended for children from 6 to 11 years old.
Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Health has tightened the circulation of drugs for abortion in the Russian Federation. Meanwhile, according to DSM Group, the country is experiencing an increase in sales of contraceptive drugs.
