Update: TOEFL Score No Longer Valid for Australian Visa Applications

Sydney ∙ TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score is no longer valid for obtaining a visa in Australia. Department of Home Affairs said that this came into effect on 26th of this month and TOEFL score will not be considered until further notice. TOEFL IBT no longer administers English language tests for visa purposes in Australia.

Now only the score of International English Language Testing System (IELTS), Pearson Test of English (PTE), Cambridge English (CAE – C1 Advanced) and Occupational English Test (OET – for healthcare workers) are considered for visa purposes.

Additionally IELTS OSR (One Skill Retake – one of reading, writing, speaking or listening) will be considered for some visa purposes. Information: immi.homeaffairs.gov.au.
