Focus on fireworks of educational innovations in Vienna
Vienna (OTS) – School starts once more in Vienna on Monday – and NEOS Vienna will start a comprehensive information campaign over the next few weeks.
Under the motto “Update School”, the focus will be on the many innovations in the field of education that will start in autumn, for example:
- With the “Vienna Educational Opportunities”, an online tool has been launched with which all Viennese compulsory schools can book free external courses tailored to their students within a certain budget: from anti-bullying or violence prevention courses to exercise outdoors to workshops on correct online behavior or recognizing fake news, there is a very extensive, certified selection.
- A family relief package also starts at the beginning of the school year: around 50,000 children at all-day schools in Vienna now receive a warm, healthy lunch free of charge every day. There is also a significant increase in support for the purchase of school supplies or subsidies for excursions.
- The school development program “Wiener Bildungsversprechen” is entering the second round with additional school locations.
- With Vienna’s first education festival on October 6th, there will be an exchange where innovations in education will be the focus and educators and experts can familiarize themselves with initiatives and ideas and exchange ideas.
NEOS Vienna spokesman Deputy Mayor Christoph Wiederkehr: “I am very pleased that we can ignite a real firework of innovations in the field of education this autumn! We want to ensure that all children and all educators go to Vienna’s kindergartens and schools every day with pleasure and a smile. We are working on this every day – and we will inform the Viennese intensively regarding this in the coming weeks!”
In September and October, NEOS Vienna will provide many campaigns in all Vienna districts, but also with digital and out-of-home , intensive information regarding the innovations in Vienna’s kindergartens and schools, says NEOS Vienna State Managing Director Philipp Kern: “We want to show: NEOS is the Education Party in Austria. And where we rule, something goes on! We cordially invite all Viennese to discuss with us the central future topic of education and to find out what’s new!”
