Square Enix promised that Final Fantasy XVI it would not need a first day update because they fully trusted the work of its developers. And that’s how it was going to be until they released a beta from which they received feedback. They might have kept their promise but they decided to please people by polishing the details that stood out to them.
But now it’s time to make an update that improves the gaming experience for all the people who got a copy of this game that continues to get excellent ratings and surprise those who had not delved into the franchise. Square Enix posted the following information on their official site listing what this update does for Final Fantasy XIV:
We have announced the release of update 1.03, which makes several improvements to the game. This update fixes some issues and adds new functionality. We recommend that you install this update before playing the game. FINAL FANTASY XVI.
This update:
Add the following items to the “System” tab of the main menu:
Motion Blur Intensity – Allows the player to adjust the intensity of the motion blur effect when the character or camera is moving. The default setting is the maximum of 5. This can be turned down to lessen the intensity of the motion blur effect, or set to 0 to turn it off completely.
Follow Player (Movement) Follow Player (Attack) – Disabling these settings prevents the camera from automatically following the player while moving and attacking respectively.
Change the maximum configuration of the elements Camera Sensitivity (Horizontal) and Camera Sensitivity (Vertical) from 10 to 20.
Adds three new controller layouts: types D, E y F.
Fixes an issue that affected the stability of some menus.
Fixes some text issues.
Add the hashtag #FF16 by sharing screenshots or video clips on Twitter o YouTube.

Editor’s note: Look, I didn’t like it Final Fantasy XVI but I’m surprised how many people continue to rave regarding this game. And I like how Square Enix is giving incredible support to this latest installment.
