After the first bans on September 1, 2022, Marseille will very soon tighten the rules concerning its ZFE.
The September 1, 2023, there will be something new on the side of Marseille. And unfortunately it’s not good news for motorists.
Indeed, the Phocaean city will harden the rules concerning at ZFE. Explanations of what to expect the inhabitants of the metropolis.
A tightening of the rules
A year ago, Marseille had started la restriction traffic with a ban on Crit’Air 5 vehicles and the unclassified.
From the September 1, 2023this restriction goes as follows extend to vehicles put into circulation between 2001 and 2005.
A hardening rules which remains in the logic of things. Indeed, Marseille is one of the five agglomerations whose ZFE remains OBLIGATORY. In cause: thresholds of pollution not respected since several months right now.
This situation contrast with Toulouse, being a territory of vigilance and which will ease the restrictions.

The Marseille Low Emission Zone includes 20 km2 of territory and delimits itself par :
Avenue du Cap Pinède Boulevard Capitaine Gèze and Boulevard de Plombières Avenue Alexandre Fleming Boulevard Françoise Duparc, Sakakini, Jean Moulin and Rabatau Avenue du Prado 2
As a reminder if you do not respect restrictions traffic related to EPZs, you will incur a fine lump sum of 68 euros.
The other metropolises called “ZFE territories”in addition to Marseille, are Lyon, Paris, Rouen and Strasbourg
