Traffic is very difficult at the national level for this second weekend of holiday departures according to Bison Futé.

This three-day weekend, due to the National Day on Friday, sees vacation departures multiply everywhere in France. Up to 685 km of traffic jams were reached shortly before noon on Saturday, said Bison Futé, who had classified this day as red in the direction of departure.

The peak was reached at 11:55 a.m. and had fallen to 480 km at 12:45 p.m., according to the traffic jam curve posted on the Bison Futé website.

The A10 motorway, in Deux-Sèvres, and the A7, in Isère, were before 1 p.m. the two most congested axes, with respectively 88 and 70 km of traffic jams. For example, 23 km of traffic jams were noted shortly before noon on the A7 towards Marseille between Reventin-Vaugris (Drôme) and Saint-Rambert-d’Albon (Isère).

Dense traffic from Ile-de-France

For the day of Sunday July 16, important displacements are also planned as well in the direction of the departures as in that of the returns. This Sunday is classified orange at the national level in both directions and red in Île-de-France in the direction of returns during the evening. Bison smart advises motorists to leave or cross Île-de-France before 8 am.
